No Outlook offline folders with Terminal Services

Outlook users running on Windows 2000 or Windows XP cannot use offline folders (.ost file) to connect to Microsoft Exchange Server if they've installed Windows 2000/2003 Terminal Services on the machine. The offline option simply does not appear.

Because Exchange server 2003's cached exchange mode uses an .ost file, it is also affected by the inability to use offline folders with Terminal services.

The same problem affects Windows NT 4.0 Terminal Server Edition.

No workaround is available, other than to remove Terminal Services from Windows 2000/2003
